I think it's important to think carefully about your priorities in life and realize that achieving them often requires major sacrifices. For example, in an age when many of our friends are buying homes, we take a pretty big step toward that goal by traveling abroad. We have no regrets though, as we value experiencing the diverse cultures around us more. How do you stay on budget when you travel? We've had mixed experiences staying on budget when traveling in Europe. We know Europe isn't the cheapest place to be and traveling with kids means we can't be as cheap as traveling alone. We don't want to live in the cheapest and dirtiest accommodation with a toddler, and we know food and diapers will cost us extra. Having said that,we are very focused on keeping accommodation costs down by doing it in several places, staying with my sister's friends, using and camping.
We used rail passes for most of our travel (15 days in two months). I'm still not sure if it's actually cheaper than booking our own itinerary, but it's a great way to get around. Although we are not perfect! Not a phone number list good budget decision to be in Switzerland for over a week, but we don't regret going there. We definitely didn't budget enough for the "Swiss Smiling together as a family while traveling overseas What is it like to travel with a 10 month old? No doubt it's harder than traveling alone or with a partner. But at the same time, it's also uniquely fun, allowing us to experience many of the experiences we would never have had it not been with Cohen. The baby easily broke down a lot of the barriers between us and the locals.

There is a lovely lady at Camp Dali who doesn't speak a word of English but loves Cohn and loved holding him as we awkwardly tried to check out how old our fawn was. She gave Cohen an Italian picture book as we left. There were Countless conversations with locals on public transport as Cohen bravely tried to charm them by smiling and waving at them. We take pride in our success "success". We still love the reaction when we tell people we've been to Europe with Cohen. he won't remember anything, it would be fun to tell Cohen how he first tasted chocolate in Switzerland and ice cream in Italy. We're still battling travel and can't wait to go back to some of these places when the kids are older. now .
